Compliance Technologies Inc. (CTI)
to Resell BLUJACKET Tool along with Electronic Content
both to Major Corporations and to their Peers from
within the Compliance Services Industry
San Jose, CA & Atlanta, GA
- October 27, 2005 - BLUJACKET Inc., the team
compliance management company, and Compliance Technologies,
Inc. (CTI), a leading provider of process safety management
services and regulatory compliance content, announced
a strategic partnership for CTI to market and sell
the BLUJACKET Team Compliance Management Software System.
CTI will integrate its compliance content within the
BLUJACKET system to enable compliance service providers
to implement best practices and automate standard procedures
for compliance and process safety management.
BLUJACKET empowers sales, marketing, and
service managers to quickly catalog and distribute communications
on products, services, and business processes to channel
partners, sales representatives, service organizations
or any other distributed audience. The web based
BLUJACKET software tracks versions of documents, assignments,
assignment reminders, document usage, test results, and
provides dashboard reporting for proficiency analysis
or for surveying customer satisfaction.
CTI sells its
own lines of software and services and is the sole US
distributor for the UK based SoftSols Group Ltd. which
is the developer of the ImpactXP, Impact Mobile and Agility
lines of Maintenance Management software used by the
British Waterworks, Heathrow Airport, Northern Telecom,
the University of Manchester and other organizations. Founded
in 1992, CTI provides software and services to organizations
such as Citgo Petroleum, Wellstar Health Systems, Southern
Regional Hospital, Mar-Jac Poultry, Fieldale Farms, and
others. CTI plans to market the BLUJACKET software
tool both to existing customers as well as to its peers
in the compliance industry.“
BLUJACKET is a revolutionary tool for compliance
automation”, says CTI founder and CEO, Roger Evans, “as
a delivery platform for EPA, OSHA, USDA, HAZMAT, SOX and
other regulatory information BLUJACKET enables CTI and
other compliance service providers to offer tremendous
value to enterprises seeking to ensure that standard operating
procedures are aligned with compliance requirements and
that employees are aware of best practices that ensure
compliance with the regulatory environment”, adds
Evans.
“CTI is exactly what we were looking
for” says
Mark Trimue, BLUJACKET’s EVP of Sales, “we
wanted a company who not only had experience with packaged
software applications but also had direct services and
compliance content that could be delivered with and through
our product”, adds Trimue.
The concept of BLUJACKET came from the Navy’s Bluejacket
manual which teaches that the only proper response to a
spoken order is “Aye, Aye, Sir” which means
that the order was heard, was understood and will be complied
with. The founders of BLUJACKET designed their Team
Compliance Management System to virtually mimic the same
concept via the internet. BLUJACKET sends out directives
and gathers and stores enough of a response from its audience
that the risk that they may not have understood is mitigated.
“BLUJACKET borrows from the better traits of
both e-mail and e-learning systems but leaves behind much
of the extra baggage. BLUJACKET has the simplicity
and the immediacy of e-mail and has the remediation and
reporting characteristics of far more expensive e-learning
systems. E-learning is typically neither simple nor
immediate and is typically relegated to courseware. Although
undoubtedly some clients will use BLUJACKET as an e-learning
alternative, it was built for quickly getting out messages
and garnering back and recording an affirmative response. E-learning
systems aren’t usually well suited to these types
of directives”, adds Trimue.
“We decided early on that we would make BLUJACKET
a platform for team compliance but that we would not be
a content provider. This is why our partnership with
CTI makes so much sense. CTI can use BLUJACKET to
enhance content that they already have and also create
revenue on the licenses of BLUJACKET that they sell.. It’s
like the ultimate bonus plan for a content provider”,
says Trimue.

About BLUJACKET, Inc.
Founded in June, 2004 BLUJACKET reunites Johnson and
Trimue with co-founders Steven Beedle, President of
Santa Cruz based ZNA Communications which is the out
sourced provider of all of BLUJACKET’s marketing
and public relations and Ted George, Chief Technology
Officer.
All were previously early employees or
contractors at either BSDi, ClickSoftware or Johnson’s
own company ForceField Inc.
Johnson, Trimue and Beedle have been associates
for more than a decade, after connecting at SCO then
going on to launch BSDi, where Johnson became the company's
CEO.
"This team has a history of building
innovative solutions for large, mostly unaddressed market
needs, and with BLUJACKET, I believe that we have the
opportunity to again blaze new trails," said Johnson.
BLUJACKET Inc. is a Silicon Valley-based
developer of software-based compliance solutions. BLUJACKET currently maintains
sales offices in San Jose, Atlanta, Frankfurt, Liechtenstein,
Tokyo and London. The company's founders had been involved
with numerous other companies in building sales and channel
partner organizations and had tried on numerous occasions
to use conventional training and e-learning packages to
convey business-critical information. Most of these
endeavors were somewhat disappointing because we weren't
usually conducting the formal training exercises that are
well suited to delivery using conventional technologies. We
were most often just sending information that we required
to know had been received, read or seen and had been understood. This
included "Active Knowledge" like price changes,
sales tips, engineering changes, human resource info, and
sales spiffs. Accomplishing this with software that
was originally designed for delivery of courseware just
didn't work very well. This is why we designed BLUJACKET
to empower the Active Knowledge Transfer™ that is
at the heart of today's effective organization.
